Greg Biffle will start 18th Sunday in his quest to claim back-to-back Spring wins at Michigan International Speedway.

Biffle enters the race with a 35-race losing streak and ranked 14th in points.

The Roush Fenway Racing veteran talked about his qualifying run Friday, noting how his car was not dialed in. Despite the mid-pack qualifying run, Biffle says his team will be ready to make a charge to the front Sunday.

“I’ve got a good fast car for Sunday,” Biffle said to FOX Sports after qualifying Friday. “[The car was] just real sensitive qualifying.”

In a season that has seen off-track distractions with contract negotiations and speculation of a departure from his current team, a win Sunday for the 44-year-old Biffle would be the No. 16 team’s security net, all but ensuring the team a Chase spot.

“We’ve won from all over the place here. I’ve won from, twentieth, thirtieth, up front, we’ll have a good car on Sunday I’m sure.”

Biffle has won at the racetrack four times, with an average finish of 11.2 in 22 starts.
