Cody Erickson will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in the No. 82 Empire Racing Chevy later this month at Eldora Speedway.

The 25-year-old Ulen, Minnesota native will run for Empire Racing.

Erickson's ride at Eldora will feature sponsorship from Performance Auto, Braseth Construction, Peterson Insurance, Naughty Bodies, and Erickson Farms.

“[I'm] very excited to be behind the wheel of this truck for Empire Racing, especially [because it's] on dirt since that's all I've ran,” Erickson said to The Racing Experts.

According to Erickson, he has loved racing since he was a little kid.

“[I] got into racing just from going and watching,” Erickson said. “No other family member has been involved so [it] started off a bit rocky but [I've] had a ton of fun.”

Erickson has been racing in the WISSOTA Modified Series for the past five years with multiple top-five finishes and over 25 feature wins. He also has 2 Corn Cob national wins.

Erickson was also on the second PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge a few months ago.

Erickson builds his own chassis and he went to school at the University of Northern Ohio for High-Performance Tech and Chassis Fabrication.

And according to Erickson, races past Eldora are pending.

“Another show this year depends on how this [race] pans out for us,” Erickson said. “May have a few potential sponsors other races but we don't want to get to far ahead as of now.”
