Dale Earnhardt Jr. to retire with NASCAR record

He may not have won a series title, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. will retire with a dubious record.
Earnhardt Jr. has the most wins among drivers in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series that never claimed consecutive victories.
The 15-time Most Popular Driver won a total of 26 races in NASCAR’s top series, with his final victory coming in 2015.
Four past champions are among the top-10 drivers with most wins on that list, including 2017 champion Martin Truex Jr.
Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman lead active drivers entering 2018 who have never won consecutive races.
