Breaking news out of Tommy Baldwin Racing.  David Reutimann will be driving for the team in the upcoming 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season. Here is a statement from Baldwin.

“We are proud to announce that we have hired David Reutimann to join Dave Blaney in the 2012 NASCAR season. We are still seeking sponsorship for both drivers. We feel David will be a great asset to our team and help build the organization on the competitive side. We are still working out all the details and working on a sponsor lineup, so more details will follow in the upcoming weeks” (TBR’s Facebook Page)

Reutimann, who has two NSCS wins under his belt with Michael Waltrip Racing should prove to be a strong backbone at TBR. He could greatly help out their future development into becoming a top team in the Sprint Cup Series. A future press release will give more information as to car numbers, sponsor, crew, etc. regarding David and teammate Dave Blaney’s 2012 rides. TBR is coming off their best season since its inception in 2009,  getting the No. 36 Chevy into the top-35 in owners points and scoring their best finish with a 3rd place finish with Dave Blaney at Talladega in October. Both Reutimann and Blaney will be looking to score TBR’s first win as a team in the 2012 campaign.
