Fords excelling early in 2018 season

LAS VEGAS—With Toyota dominating the season last year in the MENCS and Chevrolet getting the new Camaro body to use this season, a lot of people were counting Ford out.

However, Ford has captured two of the three victories this season in dominating fashion.

A Ford driver has led the most laps in each of the first three races of the season; Ryan Blaney at Daytona, and Kevin Harvick at Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Ford currently leads the manufacturer standings.


At Daytona, Ford was in contention to capture a victory in the 60th running of the Daytona 500. Ford had 4 drivers finish inside the top-10 at the Daytona 500.

  • Paul Menard - 6th Position

  • Ryan Blaney - 7th Position

  • Michael McDowell - 9th Position


Ford performed outstanding at Atlanta. Kevin Harvick put on a clinic and gave Ford their first win of the season after leading 181 laps. Ford had 5 cars finish inside the top-10 including a 1-2-3 finish.

In another dominating race for Ford, Ryan Blaney started on the pole position. Kevin Harvick captured back to back victories for Ford. Ford had 6 cars inside the top-10.
