Sprint Cup teams ran this left-side tire code (D-4688) at Las Vegas earlier this season . . . this is the first time running this right-side code (D-4712), which features the same construction as the Michigan right-side, but is a single compound tire with the same compound that was run on the inboard two inches of Michigan’s multi-zone tread right-side . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run liners in all four tire positions at Kentucky . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater  than that of the outer tire.
