Hendrick Motorsports announced this week about some new changes for the 2011 season. We already know that Chad Knaus is staying with the 48 team and Jimmie Johnson until at least 2015, but for Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, and Mark Martin, a rotation in the crew chiefs that work with Hendrick will cause these drivers to listen to different voices in the pits.

Mark Martin, who is in his final season with the 5 car, will now be working with Lance McGrew, who was winless with Dale Jr. since the middle of the 2009 season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. meanwhile is now paired up with Steve Letarte, who has worked with Jeff Gordon since the 2005 chase, in which Jeff Gordon didn't make the cut.

Jeff Gordon meanwhile, you guessed it, has Martin's old crew chief, Alan Gustafson. Gustafson was winless with Mark Martin in 2010, but has multiple wins with Kyle Busch and Martin.

Although Jimmie Johnson won the championship this year, this was the first time in a while where none of the other drivers picked up victories. Rick Hendrick, as he explained on the HMS website, that he is hoping these changes will help.
