Logano notched three wins in the regular season, clinching his second consecutive Chase berth in his second season at Team Penske.
“Overall, we’re happy to be in the Chase, I feel like we’re definitely one of the cars that can do it,” Logano said last week at Richmond. “I feel a lot more confident going in to it than I did last year.”
Logano became the seventh driver to all-but guarantee himself a Chase berth with his win at Texas in April. Having nearly five months to prepare for the Chase, Logano said he is ready to start this year’s playoffs.
“I think we’re all fired up and ready to go here; we’ve had the last few months to prepare and get ready for this next week coming up.”
The 24-year-old veteran’s best Chase performance was 2013, his first year making NASCAR’s post-season. Logano finished eighth in points overall.
