2016 Sprint Cup Series rookie-of-the-year contender Jeffrey Earnhardt is not sure of his racing plans for next season.
“If I knew, I’d probably sleep a little bit better,” Earnhardt said. “Right now, it’s still up in the air, we’re working on putting some stuff together.”
The grandson of Dale Earnhardt has run in 21 Sprint Cup Series races this season, with a best finish of 26th at Charlotte in October.
The 27-year-old Earnhardt has run in 19 races for Go Fas Racing and two for BK Racing this season. He’s hoping to return to NASCAR’s premiere series in 2017.
“I’d like to be back here in the Cup Series in a little bit better equipment, whether it’s with these guys or just helping our program, or wherever it might be,” he said.
“I’d like to keep running [at Go Fas Racing], good group of guys here and a lot of fun racing in the Cup Series.”
