Kenseth, Harvick and Elliott lead Dover practice sessions

DOVER, Del.—Three practices have been completed at Dover International Speedway this weekend for the Sunday running of the Apache Warrior 400.
The event will be the final race of the first round of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
Fastest: Matt Kenseth (Playoff driver)
Kenseth was the fastest in opening practice with a time of 22.147 run on his seventh lap.
Kyle Larson, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five for opening practice. All drivers are in the playoffs.
Fastest: Kevin Harvick (Playoff driver)
Harvick led second practice with a time of 22.998 coming on his third lap. Dale Earnhardt Jr. continued to impress this weekend with a solid lap time of 23.016 giving him the second fastest lap time of the second practice.
Two drivers on the verge of elimination, Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray posted the third and fourth fastest lap times respectively. Rookie Erik Jones rounded out the top five.
*Notables: 11-time Dover winner Jimmie Johnson was called to the NASCAR hauler for speeding on pit road when the XFINITY Series cars were lining up for qualifying.
Fastest: Chase Elliott (Playoff driver)
Elliott led the way in final practice with a time of 22.877 posted on his second lap.
After his trip to the NASCAR hauler, Jimmie Johnson posted his best lap time in all three practice sessions with a time of 22.944 set on his second lap. Kevin Harvick, fastest in second practice, continued to show speed in the final practice posting the third fastest lap time. Larson and Kyle Busch rounded out the top five.

55-minute (full practice) - Michael McDowell, failed pre-qualifying technical inspection four times.
Dale Jr. failed NH pre-race tech two times & Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
Kenseth failed NH pre-race tech two times & Dover pre-qualing tech two times.
Bowyer, failed Dover pre-qualifying tech three times.
Larson, failed Dover pre-qualifying tech three times.
Kasey Kahne failed New Hampshire (NH) pre-race tech two times.
Ross Chastain failed NH pre-race tech two times.
Brett Moffitt failed NH pre-race tech two times.
Austin Dillon failed Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
Ryan Newman failed Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
Matt DiBenedetto failed Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
Erik Jones failed Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
Martin Truex Jr. failed Dover pre-qualifying tech two times.
