AVONDALE, Ariz.—After a last lap pass on Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski won the DAV 200 Honoring America's Veterans Saturday at Phoenix International Raceway.

Keselowski, who scored his 32nd career win, led nine laps en route to his fifth win in ten starts in 2014.

“It was a long day, Kyle was really really good,” he said post-race. “If you would have told me we were going to pass him on the last restart, I would have not thought that would be the case.”

The win is Keselowski’s first at the mile intermediate in 17 starts in the Nationwide Series.

Keselowski cleared Busch on the final lap, stating there is a takeaway for him and his team that can be applied for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.

Keselowski enter tomorrow’s Cup race seventh in points, five points away from the Chase cutoff.

“At the very least, the physical challenge is good for me,” he said.

Busch led a race high 187 laps, including the first 84 of the event.

“We had a really fast car,” Busch said. “We were faster than everybody else, just not at the right time… Overall, it is what is.”

Busch, who has won seven races in 2014, talked in the media center post-race about the last lap between him and Keselowski.

“As soon as his car cut better than mine… I figured right there we were in trouble,” he said.
