LAS VEGAS – The second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice concluded at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday in preparation for the third race of the season.

Ford has dominated the last two MENCS races, claiming victories at Daytona with Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski at Atlanta.

Chase Elliott’s NAPA Chevrolet lead the second practice at Las Vegas on Saturday.

Elliott also ran the most laps during this practice session at 42. Ryan Blaney led the Blue Oval’s in P6.

Blaney, who will start third Sunday, talked about the morning session.

“I thought the car was okay, but I think the second session is when you’re going to decide how your car is going to be and what changes to make to your vehicle,” Blaney said. “I thought our speed is really good, it’s all about trying to hold on to it.”
