FONTANA, Calif.—Joey Logano cruised to victory in the Roseanne 300 Saturday at Auto Club Speedway.

The Team Penske driver led a race-high 139 laps to earn his 29th career win in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

“Total team effort,” Logano said. “...I was talking to [crew chief Brian] Wilson, and even my crew chief on the other side, Todd Gordon, and I said ‘Man, if we don’t win this race tomorrow, we really screwed something up.’”

Logano is one of three drivers pulling double-duty between the XFINITY Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series this weekend.

Any advantage the drivers running both races have on the rest of the Sunday field is minimal, according to Logano.

“You have an advantage for the first five laps probably because you know where the track is a little bit better, maybe kind of know where the track went throughout the race.

“There’s not a whole bunch. The cars that were fast earlier in practice today are gonna be fast tomorrow.”

Forty drivers started the race, 30 finished.

The race featured seven cautions, including two for the conclusion of stages.

22 cars finished on the lead lap.

Tyler Reddick was the top finishing rookie in seventh.

Elliott Sadler leaves Fontana as the points leader over JR Motorsports teammates Tyler Reddick and Justin Allgaier by four and five points respectively.

The series’ next stop will be at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 7 with television coverage on FOX.
