HAMPTON, Ga.—A pass for the lead on the final restart gave Brett Moffitt a win in the Active Pest Control 200 Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

A late-race caution bunched up the field and set the stage for overtime. Moffitt, who took four tires on his final pit stop under the yellow-flag period, overpowered leader Myatt Snider and Johnny Sauter entering Turn 1.

“Luckily once I got into (Turn) 1, I could clear (Myatt) and clear Johnny,” Moffitt said. “They stayed side-by-side and we were able to just drive away.”

Moffitt recorded his first win of 2018 and second of his Truck Series career.

The victory is the first for team owner Shigeaki Hattori.

Noah Gragson won Stage 1 and Kyle Busch won Stage 2.

Busch led the most laps, leading twice for 67 laps.

A loose wheel after the final pit stop relegated the owner-driver to a 21st-place finish.

A total of 18 trucks finished on the lead lap.

The series is back in action next Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
