NASCAR Hands Down Penalty Report From New Hampshire

Joe Gibbs Racing, driver Matt Kenseth and crew chief Jason Rstcliff are paying for winning the New Hampshire 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.


The Dollar General Toyota failed to pass the failed the post race laser inspection, an inspection which it passed prior ro the race. The race car was transported back to thr NASCAR R & D Center for further inspection.


Late Wednesday afternoon NASCAR posted the penalty list from New Hampshire (see below) which included the violation by the team.


Kevin Harvick, pre-qualifying and Austin Dillon, pre-race were penalized for their issues. Both drivers will be held from the first practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 15 minutes.


Several other team were given warnings for issues during the pre-practice inspection process.


There was nothing received from Joe Gibbs Racing as to their reaction to the penalty and the possibility of appealing the issue.
