Fla.—Chris Buescher has
his eyes set on a championship this weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway.
As the driver of the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford prepares to possibly win his first Xfinity Series championship, Buescher also shed light about his future plans.
“We don’t have anything planned for next year,” Buescher said to The Racing Experts. “I did get to run, I think it was six races what it ended up being, and I had a blast doing it. It was an awesome bunch of guys over there, had a lot of fun, and learned a lot as well.”
The 23-year-old competed in four consecutive Sprint Cup races this season with Front Row Motorsports.
Chris Buescher races teammate Darrell Wallace Jr. at Phoenix International Raceway in March 2015.
“I realized real quickly how busy double-duty could get for a weekend in running back and forth between the garages. That made me give a lot more respect to the guys that do it every weekend and are constantly running because when you get out of the car—I remember Fontana was the first one.
“You get out of the car and there’s five minutes between XFINITY practice and a Cup practice and the garages seemed like they were a mile away there. It was a busy weekend. I was wore out by the end of it, but there’s no plans to do it next year, but what I got out of it this year was invaluable.”
It is not known if Buescher will run a partial Cup schedule in a fourth Roush Fenway Racing entry in 2016 at this time.
