AVONDALE, Ariz.—Elliott Sadler’s ninth-place finish in the DC Solar 200 Saturday propelled the driver back to the XFINITY Series points lead.

The Virginia-native unofficially leaves the raceway with a one-point advantage heading into next weekend’s race at Auto Club Speedway.

Sadler and JR Motorsports teammate Tyler Reddick entered ISM Raceway; the fourth stop of the season, tied for the points lead.

Neither driver picked up stage points and Sadler finished ahead of Reddick by one position.

Sadler previously led the points after the Atlanta race, the second event on the NXS 2018 season.

Sadler was unavailable for comment post race.

Additionally, JR Motorsports drivers are 1-2-3 in points standings (Elliott Sadler, 151; Tyler Reddick, 150; Justin Allgaier 144).
