Reed Sorenson will continue to pilot the No. 55 car for Premium Motorsports in the Sprint Cup Series.

Sorenson confirmed to The Racing Experts he will be on the entry list in three of the next four Sprint Cup races, starting this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“We’re going to go to Bristol, we’re going to go to Richmond, then Kansas, so those three tracks, I’m looking forward to,” he said at Texas Motor Speedway. “I like all of them, and Richmond’s one of my favorites, and usually don’t have to have too many sets of tires to make it through the whole race.”

After Kansas in May, Sorenson says the team is planning on “running quite a few” more races.

“We’ve got some plans,” he said. “Like I said, we’ve got those three planned out and then we’ll kind of see how everything’s going at that point, and see how many more starts we may [make].

“I think we plan on running quite a few and try to get some sponsorship to get on the car, that would help a lot, so if we can get some sponsorship, that would be something big for us to move down the road and run more races this year.”

Sorenson has competed in two events this season for Premium Motorsports with a best finish of 36th at Texas Motor Speedway.

“When we get to some places where tires aren’t such a big deal, and we don’t have to have so many, I think we’ll be a little more competitive,” he said.

Team owner Jay Robinson was not available for comment.
