Brandon Hauff

My life as a NASCAR fan and an everyday kid has been memorable in many ways.  There are many of them that I can mention, but there are so few that I can narrow it down to.  Here is the story of my life in racing, school, and much more.

My name is Brandon Hauff, and I am from the great state of New York, specifically from Long Island.  I have basically been a true NASCAR fan since 2004.  Since that year that I started watching NASCAR in 2004, I have been a dedicated fan to the sport, especially to my favorite driver, Kasey Kahne.  I honestly do not know how I got into liking him, but to this day I have stuck by my driver through the ups and downs, and now on his way to Hendrick Motorsports in 2012.  I am also currently a junior in high school. I also love to write about my favorite sport of NASCAR.  Back in eighth grade, I wrote an eight page report on it and boy did I impress my teachers.

The first race I ever saw in NASCAR was the 2004 Daytona 500.  That day felt like yesterday to me because I remember exactly what happened that day. Being that I was only eight years old at the time, I really was unfamiliar with what NASCAR was.  I sat on my bed looking up at the TV, and watching these cars go around the track.  It seemed boring at first, but then I just could not change the channel after I first turned on the race.  So by the end of the race, when Dale Earnhardt Jr. won, I never stopped watching a race since then.  I have only missed about 2 or 3 full races since that year due to vacations in July or a rained out race postponed until a Monday, but other than that, I have never missed a single race that has been run on a Saturday night, a Sunday afternoon, or even some Monday races that I did not go to school.

Through my years of watching NASCAR, I have developed many memories for the sport that I will never forget.  However, my first memory of the sport was back in 2005 when my favorite driver, Kasey Kahne, won his first race at Richmond.  It was a very exciting moment for me as a fan of the sport.  This is a moment that I will never forget.

In my spare time I also like to play on my PS3, of course the PC based game NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. I like to watch the NY Giants, Yankees, and Islanders play. I also make YouTube videos and like to just lounge around and relax.   This is basically what I do with my day, other than school, and I try and live life to the fullest.

Well, this is me, and what I love to do.  I am obviously a huge, dedicated NASCAR fan since 2004.  There is never a moment that I do not enjoy watching a race in NASCAR in any series, Truck, Nationwide, or Cup.  My point that I make across to everyone is, that I LOVE NASCAR!!!!
