Known more for his hockey writing, Steven has been an avid follower of racing since birth. In the early days, he would line up 43 cars on a mat in front of the TV and would race them around for hours upon hours each day. By the age of four, Steven started to play NASCAR Heat on the computer, a game he still plays occasionally 15 years later.
Through video games, attending races and racing go-karts himself, Steven has been a huge continues to love the sport more than ever. Aside from NASCAR, Steven is a huge fan of endurance racing, and was even a top-three car in the 2015 iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona. Steven is also a big fan of IndyCar, Formula 1, Tudor Sportscar Series and pretty much everything that goes fast for a few hours each week.
Aside from racing, Steven is a big hockey fan and spends much of his time writing about the cold, winter sport for a variety of outlets. Steven is a regular guest on multiple radio shows, and has also had two TV shows in the past.
Aside from sports in general, Steven likes to play the guitar, the bass and the drums and specifically likes to play rock and metal music. His favorite bands include Green Day, Sum 41, Billy Talent, Dragonforce, Metallica, Slipknot and Of Mice and Men.
