After crashing out in two of the last four Cup Series races, Daniel Suarez is heading to one of his favorite tracks.
“Chicago is a place I really like a lot,” Suarez told The Racing Experts. “Hopefully we can keep the momentum going.
“We have had a rough few weeks in the past, but now I feel like we are moving in the right direction so hopefully we can keep it up.”
Although the 2017 Rookie-of-the-Year contender has never started in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Chicagoland, the Mexico-native is no stranger to the 1.5-mile speedway.
In his six starts between the XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series, Suarez has finished inside the top 15 each time and on the lead lap.
The driver of the No. 19 Arris Toyota has also led for 54 circuits around the track across both series.
After the points reset this past weekend at Richmond Raceway, Suarez currently sits 20th in points, with one top five and nine top-10 finishes.
