Three drivers who placed outside the top-ten in the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday did not score a top-ten finish this season in the Sprint Cup Series.
Casey Mears finished 18th, Danica Patrick finished 19th and David Ragan finished 29th end streaks of finishing inside the top-ten in at least one race per season.
Prior to 2016, Patrick and Mears had finished inside the top-ten in at least one race per season since 2013. Ragan had at least one top-ten finish per season since 2007.
Patrick’s best finish this season was an 11th at Charlotte in October. Mears’ best finish was 12th twice; at Daytona in July and Watkins Glen in August.
Ragan’s best finish this season was 16th at Daytona in July.
Until this season, Patrick and Ragan had finished inside the top-ten in each of their full-time seasons in the Sprint Cup Series.
Patrick will finish 24th overall in the point standings, Mears 28th and Ragan 33rd.
