With a tenth place finish in Sunday’s Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Brian Vickers posted his best finish in six races.
Vickers started the day 12th, running inside the top-ten for much of the race. Vickers led 15 laps on the day, his first laps led in a Cup race in 14 races.
“The guys just did an awesome job with our Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota today,” Vickers said post-race Sunday. “We had a really good race car; it was fast. We were one of the best cars in the corner today.”
Vickers’ top-ten finish tied his best finish in the last ten Cup races, but said his car wasn’t strong in other areas.

Brad Keselowski leads the pack into turn one at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“Unfortunately, we couldn't compete in some other areas with those guys,” Vickers said. “That was the biggest thing that hurt us; passing in traffic was really easy to get inside them in the turn but was hard to complete the pass. The guys did a good job today, I'm really proud of them.”
Vickers sits 22nd overall in Cup points heading into Dover International Raceway. In 16 starts at Dover, Vickers has posted two top-ten finishes at the racetrack.
The last time Vickers raced at Dover, he posted his first DNF of 2014, knocking him outside the top-ten in points.
