Allgaier on pole after rain cancels qualifying at Martinsville
MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Just as soon as qualifying started it ended when rain washed out the on-track activities for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Martinsville Speedway.
Justin Allgaier will lead the field to green alongside teammate Rajah Caruth on the front row.

The practice session went uninterrupted and even six cars took their laps before the rain came down as the pace of the session could not outrun the impending rain that soon ensued.
Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, Brandon Jones and Brent Crews make up the second row.
The rest of the top ten starting spots consists Carson Kvapil in fifth, Sheldon Creed in sixth, Corey Day in seventh, Jesse Love in eighth, Sammy Smith in ninth, and Parker Retzlaff to round out the top 10.
Modified and short track legend Lee Pulliam will make his first career O’Reilly Series start from 12th after leading the proceeding practice session.
Two more debutants, Andrew Patterson and Luke Baldwin, will make their first starts in 19th and 29th.
The only Cup Series regular in the field is Ross Chastain, due to the rain-out he will start last in 38th.
40 entrants competed for 38 starting spots. Due to the rain, Dawson Cram and Justin Carroll will not qualify for the event.
With the persistent rain, the starting lineup has been set by the NASCAR metric scoring system. Below is the lineup for the NFPA 250 at Martinsville Speedway below.
