Chase Elliott’s victory in the Ally 400 Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway tied the Hendrick Motorsports driver with Ernie Irvan on NASCAR’s all-time wins list in the Cup Series.

The victory for Elliott was his second of 2022 and 15th overall. Elliott and Irvan are now tied for 55th on the wins list.

“These things are hard to come by and you have to enjoy them,” Elliott said. “You never know when or if you will get another one. So, super thankful and looking forward to next week.”

Ahead of Elliott and Irvan on the wins list include Kyle Larson, Marvin Panch and Curtis Turner — each with 17 wins.

Irvan raced in the Cup Series from 1987 to 1999, racing for owners including Marc Reno, D.K. Ulrich, Larry McClure, Robert Yates and Nelson Bowers.

The next race on the schedule is at the Road America road course Sunday, July 3, where Elliott is the defending winner.
