Chevrolet unveils new NASCAR Cup body for 2026
DETROIT – Chevrolet unveiled its new NASCAR Cup Series body that will hit the track for the 2026 season.

The updated Camaro ZL1 racecar marks the first update to the design introduced with the NextGen car in 2022. The updated car will make its debut set to come in February at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray.
The car will feature upgraded styling, aligned with Chevrolet’s recently released Camaro ZL1 Carbon Performance Package accessories kit. According to Chevrolet, the kit is designed to optimize the performance of the sixth-generation Camaro. They also collaborated with NASCAR and its teams on this.
Here is what different with the updated car:
- “Larger hood power dome”
- “Revised front grille”
- “More pronounced rocker panels along the sides of the car”
Alex Bowman took the updated car for its first laps during a closed Goodyear tire test that happened at Bristol Motor Speedway just days before the announcement.
Chevrolet is coming off of its 34th driver championship — with Kyle Larson — and 44th manufacturer championship in 2025. After William Byron’s win at Martinsville to get into the Championship 4, the manufacturer now has 881 all-time wins.
