Connor Zilisch returns to Cup Series at Coke 600

Connor Zilisch will return to the NASCAR Cup Series for the longest race of the year next month.

Trackhouse Racing announced Thursday (April 3) the 18-year-old racer will attempt his second premier series start May 25 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“So grateful for the chance to run it back with Red Bull and Team Trackhouse in the 87 at Charlotte,” Zilisch said on social media. “Gonna be a challenge but I can’t wait for it.”

Zilisch, currently competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, made his Cup Series debut in March.

The driver, known for his road course racing abilities, finished 37th after a crash sidelined him 49 laps into the race.
