SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Drivers, start your engines and hide your cookies – Cookie Monster is set to serve as the grand marshal for the Brickyard 400.

Famed “Sesame Street” favorite Cookie Monster will give the command to start the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The track made the announcement Monday on social media.
Shortly after the announcement, Cookie Monster appeared in a separate social media with Bubba Wallace.
Wallace finished fifth after leading 26 of 167 laps in the 2024 Brickyard 400. Coming into this year’s Brickyard 400, Wallace is the first driver above the playoff cutline – 16 points above the cutline after Dover.
