Corey Heim is the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion
AVONDALE, Ariz. — Corey Heim has won the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship with the checkered flag Friday night at Phoenix Raceway.

Heim went from 10th to second in the first overtime to line up behind Ty Majeski for the second overtime. Majeski has two fresh tires while Heim had four and easily took down Majeski for the title.

Heim earned the 2025 championship with 12 wins, 19 top-five finishes, 21 top-10 finishes and seven poles in the 25-race season.
The third time was, indeed, the charm for Heim to win the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship. He finished third in 2023, second in 2024 and finally first in 2025.
The TRICON Garage driver’s road to the Championship 4 has been historic and dominant. No one has earned more wins than him in a single Truck season. He also entered the Championship 4 with more wins than any other full-time driver combined and stood head and shoulders above the competition all year. He also became the first driver to lead a lap in every race during the season and never finished worse than third in the final 11 races.

Heim became the 23rd different champion in the 31-year history of the series.
Friday marked the fourth time in six Truck championship races at Phoenix that a champion clinched the crown with a win in the season finale.
TOP-10 (LAP 161): Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Layne Riggs, Rajah Caruth, Jake Garcia, Corey LaJoie, Chandler Smith, Tyler Reif, Jack Wood. Matt Mills, Stefan Parsons, Matt Crafton, Tyler Ankrum and Nathan Byrd rounded out the lead-lap trucks — 15 in all.
From an unknown to NASCAR’s most well-known prospect
When Corey Heim won his first national series race, in the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas Speedway in October of 2020, he was a virtual unknown. Heim secured seven races with Venturini Motorsports, the last of which was that Kansas race. All of it was a family effort.
“My dad poured all the time he’s got into my racing career, hoping I can latch onto a manufacturer and get some support there to. Took a chance to go to Venturini Motorsports in 2020… and it was kind of the breaking point for me,” Heim said.
The win secured Heim a full-time ride with Venturini the following year when battles with drivers like Ty Gibbs raised his stock to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series he soon came to dominate.
In the 94 races run since the start of 2022, Heim has led in the key statistics — wins (23), top-five finishes (51), top-10 finishes (68) and average finish (7.8). He has also had opportunities in series, like the NASCAR Cup Series where he finished sixth at Bristol Motor Speedway in a race in the heart of the playoffs.
The top prize awaited. After a night of uncertainty, Heim pulled through and fulfilled the ascension.
“It’s pretty surreal. If you told myself in 2020 where I’d be in 2025, I probably wouldn’t believe you,” Heim said.
