HAMPTON, GA — Sheldon Creed has worked hard to make a name for himself in NASCAR. Coming off a championship in the ARCA Menards Series in 2018, Creed found himself in a GMS Racing entry at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Making his first start at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, Creed showed a lot of speed throughout the Ultimate Tailgating 200 Saturday.

Creed finished Stage 1 in 13th and Stage 2 in 10th, netting one stage point.

Creed was able to recover from a Stage 3 speeding penalty to finish 12th.

The 12th-place finish is Creed’s highest finish so far this season. He will be back next weekend at Las Vegas at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Two races into the season, Creed sits 10th in driver’s points, 1 point behind eighth-place Timothy Peters.
