Daniel Dye not cleared to run Xfinity race at Phoenix
AVONDALE, ARIZ. — After a wreck Friday in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season finale, Daniel Dye was not cleared to run the Xfinity Series race Saturday.
Leland Honeyman Jr. will fill in for Dye. Honeyman on Saturday will qualify and race the Alpha Prime Racing No. 44 Chevrolet.
Dye wrecked in turn three with Stefan Parsons and Bayley Currey on lap 130 of the 150 scheduled laps.

A Twin Valley, MN, native, Fjeld became a motorsports fan at just three years old (first race was the 2002 Pennsylvania 500). He worked as a contributor and writer for TRE from 2010-18. Currently, he resides in Albuquerque, N.M., where he works for KOB 4, an NBC station. He works as a digital producer and does on-air reports. He loves spending time with friends and family, playing and listening to music, exploring new places, being outdoors, reading books and writing among other activities.
