Daniel Suarez to leave Trackhouse Racing after 2025
CONCORD, N.C. — Daniel Suarez confirmed Tuesday he and Trackhouse Racing agreed to part ways after the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

“Just like the seasons in a year, sometimes things change and we have agreed to each go in our own direction. I wish Trackhouse nothing but the best. This 99 team will always be special to me and, like I always say, the best is ahead!’ Suarez said.
Suarez will finish out the season in the No. 99 Chevrolet he first drove in 2021 – at Trackhouse’s inception. The Monterrey, Mexico, native earned his first Cup Series win a year later at Sonoma that June. He made the Cup playoffs and returned to the playoffs in 2024 after winning at Atlanta that February.

While Suarez has had some successes with Trackhouse, he has struggled. Suarez has lagged behind teammate Ross Chastain in certain categories, such as wins, and is winless after 18 races in 2025 – while Chastain and new teammate Shane van Gisbergen have each won and locked themselves into the playoffs.
Suarez also faced pressure with young gun Connor Zilisch waiting in the wings. Zilisch is likely to take over the No. 99 in 2026.
Trackhouse and Suarez issued this joint statement Tuesday:
