Darrell Waltrip returning to FOX broadcast booth

Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Darrell Waltrip will return to the FOX NASCAR broadcast booth at Bristol Motor Speedway.

FOX announced the return of “D.W.” during the Martinsville Cup Series race Saturday (Apr. 9).

After retiring from full-time competition in 2000, Waltrip provided color commentary for FOX’s NASCAR coverage from 2001 to 2019.

The Bristol Dirt Race is scheduled for Sunday, Apr. 17.
