Denny Hamlin picks up 35th career win
Denny Hamlin’s victory Saturday night (August 17) in the Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway produced Hamlin’s fourth Cup Series win of 2019 and the 35th of his career.
Hamlin led the final 11 laps, passing Matt DiBenedetto for the late-race lead.

At the beginning of the season, Hamlin was 25th on the Cup Series all-time wins list.
Since then, Hamlin has passed Dale Jarrett and Fireball Roberts on the wins list.
The next five drivers ahead of Hamlin on the Cup Series wins list are Bobby Isaac (37 wins), Tim Flock (39), Matt Kenseth (39), Mark Martin (40) and Bill Elliott (44).
Hamlin ranks fourth among active drivers for the most wins in the series. Ahead of him are Kevin Harvick (47 wins), Kyle Busch (55) and Jimmie Johnson (83).
The next race for the series is scheduled at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, September 1.
