Enfinger ends drought in Vegas, advances in playoffs

LAS VEGAS—Grant Enfinger collected the victory in the World of Westgate 200 Friday night, ending a 41-race winless streak in the Camping World Truck Series and advancing to the next round of the playoffs.
Enfinger led the final two laps at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, taking advantage of a late-race restart and taking the lead from Brett Moffitt, who didn’t have the speed Enfinger did on the final restart.
“I know it was a while, a year-and-a-half for sure,” Enfinger said. “…Everybody has just stepped up across the board.”
Enfinger is now locked into the Round of 6 along with Justin Haley.
Johnny Sauter, Haley, Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton—all playoff drivers—rounded out the top-five finishers. Moffitt finished 11th.
Stewart Friesen, who led 17 laps, finished 17th.
Noah Gragson, the Stage 1 winner, had a tire-rub issue in the final stage and finished 18th.
The next race for the series is October 13 at Talladega Superspeedway, the final race for the Round of 8.
Rhodes and Friesen are on the outside of the playoff cutline entering Talladega.
