Greg Biffle ‘overwhelmed, excited’ about NASCAR Hall of Fame nomination
For the first time ever, Greg Biffle made the shortlist for the chance to make the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame announced the 15-person list of nominees for the 2025 class. Biffle found out with the rest of the racing world that he was on that list.
โI didnโt get any heads up,โ Biffle said on the May 1 episode of the โLetโs Go Racingโ podcast.
Wayne Auton, who has served as a NASCAR official, gave Biffle a call just before the news went live online.
โI found out as it broke,โ Biffle said. โI was overwhelmed, excited. It wasn’t even on my radar. Iโm certainly grateful for the nomination, and now the hard work is getting the votes. Thereโs a lot of great names and deserving people on that list.โ
Biffle won the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, the 2002 Xfinity Series championship, and 19 races in the NASCAR Cup Series. He last competed full-time in 2016.

โIt would be a dream come true for me,โ Biffle said. โIt would maybe be bittersweet that third championship that alluded me in 2005 with the loose wheel at Texas. Icing to smooth that over.โ
Along with Greg Biffle, nine-time champion engine builder Randy Dorton and three-time Truck champion Jack Sprague appeared on the NASCAR Hall of Fame finalist list for the first time.
The voting panel for the NASCAR Hall will meet on Tuesday, May 21 to vote on the 2025 class.
The fan vote portion, accessible through the NASCAR website, is currently open but will close on Sunday, May 19 at noon ET.ย
โIโm just hoping I can get the votes, so weโll just have to wait and see,โ Biffle said.
