NASCAR: Corey Heim holds off Honeycutt, wins Rockingham Truck race

Corey Heim held off a late charge from TRICON Garage teammate Kaden Honeycutt to win the Black’s Tire 200 at Rockingham Speedway Friday.

Heim picked up his second win of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season and his 25th career win.

“Hung in there, had to use a couple lapped-car picks to hold him off,” Heim said.

Honeycutt picked up his third Top-5 of the season and his second runner-up finish of his career, still searching for his first career victory.

“I caught him, I don’t know what I should have done differently to win the race,” Honeycutt said.

Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith, and Stewart Friesen rounded out the Top-5 finishers.
