Jeremy Clements set to become fourth driver to make 500 NASCAR Xfinity starts
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — This weekend at Circuit of the Americas, Jeremy Clements is set to become just the fourth driver to make 500 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Clements will make start no. 500 in this Saturday’s Focused Health 250 at COTA. He will have new partner Henderson Jet Services on his car for the milestone start.
“I am very grateful for Henderson Jet Services coming on board for COTA. We had few races left to fill out the season and with the help of Steve (Carnes) we were able to get a deal done,” Clements said.
It’ll be a big welcome for the new partnership as Clements will join Kenny Wallace (547 starts), Jeff Green (535) and Jason Keller (520) as the only drivers to make 500 career starts in the series.1
“Wow, it’s hard to believe I will be making my 500th Xfinity start! I am incredibly grateful to all the sponsors, crew, friends and family who have helped me get to this point in my career. We’ve accomplished so much with limited resources over these 20-plus years, experiencing both ups and downs for sure, but I’m so fortunate to do this for a living! Again, Thank you all for your support—here’s to 500 more!” Clements said.
Clements made his debut at Pikes Peak International Raceway in July 2003. He stuck it out as an underdog driver with a family team that was finally rewarded in August 2017 when they earned their first Xfinity Series win at Road America. That win also clinched their first playoff berth.
In 2021, Clements and his family made the playoffs again. The next year, in 2022, they returned to victory lane and the playoffs with a win at Daytona.
Clements’ best finish at COTA was 14th in 2023.
