John Hunter Nemechek reaches double-digit Xfinity Series wins
LAS VEGAS — By taking the checkered flag in the The LiUNA! Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, John Hunter Nemechek is the latest driver to earn 10 victories in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Nemechek led five times for 99 of the 200 laps to earn his first victory of the 2024 season.
“There’s a lot of first-time winners on this NASCAR Xfinity Series team at Joe Gibbs Racing,” Nemechek said to The Racing Experts about what will be remembered most of the win. Nemechek said first-timer winners on the team inlcluded an engineer, the spotter, and truck driver.

“It’s pretty cool to have such a young group, such an inexperienced group, I would say, as far as the roles go, and to be able to come out here and win a race, it was a hard-fought day, that’s for sure,” Nemechek said.
Nemechek made his series debut in 2018, racing a partial schedule for Chip Ganassi that year. Nemechek collected his first win at Kansas in October. He would have to wait till 2021 to earn his next win at Fort Worth.
All-time
Nemechek is now tied with Jason Keller, 1991 series champion Bobby Labonte, Robert Pressley, and two-time series champion Tyler Reddick. All of the drivers are tied for 43rd all-time.
“It’s big,” Nemechek said of reaching 10 wins. “I love winning races. To be able to win 10 Xfinity races is a pretty big accomplishment, I really enjoy being able to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. These cars are fun to drive.”
Ahead of the aforementioned drivers, who are all tied with 11 wins (36th all-time), are Chuck Bown, Chase Briscoe, Steve Grissom, Dale Jarrett, Terry Labonte, Tony Stewart and Michael Waltrip.
The winningest driver in series history is Kyle Busch (102). Rounding out the Top-5 are Mark Martin (49), Kevin Harvick (47), Brad Keselowski (39) and Carl Edwards (38).
