Kevin Harvick scored his second win of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Sunday (June 7) at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

For Harvick, it was his third win at the 1.5-mile speedway and the 51st of his Cup Series career.

“For me, this place is pretty special just because of the fact that this is where I got my first win, so for me coming back here, it brings back a lot of memories,” Harvick said.

“It brings back a lot of things that we didn’t really know how to celebrate on that particular day, and I think as you look at being able to go back and win another race here and celebrate the life of Dale Earnhardt, everything that he meant to our sport in the right way.

“Each time we’re able to come here is obviously pretty special for me, and to be able to win at Atlanta is a lot of fun for me because it’s one of my favorite racetracks.”

Harvick 151 laps, the most among the competition, including the final 55 laps.

Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Martin Truex Jr. — who won the first two stages — and Kyle Busch finished second and third respectively.

“Hard to beat [Harvick] when you come to his home turf if you will,” Busch said. “At Atlanta, they’re really fast. Overall, my guys did a great job and they gave me a great M&M’s Fudge Brownie Camry.”

Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano finished sixth through tenth.

Tyler Reddick was the highest finishing rookie in 16th.

The next Cup Series race is the Blue Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway, scheduled for Wednesday night, June 10.
