Kligerman, team docked points for modified spoiler
CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR docked Parker Kligerman and his team 20 points and five playoff points for modifying the spoiler on their car at Michigan.

Officials found the infraction during tech inspection before the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Cabo Wabo 250 Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.
Kligerman placed 10th in stage one and finished 11th, earning 27 points on the day. However, with the 20-point penalty, he and his team only earned seven points.
With the penalties, Kligerman is now just 16 points above the cutline heading to Daytona. If he can hang on and make the playoffs, he will need to dig himself out of a hole. As of now, he has -4 playoff points.
NASCAR cited rulebook sections 14.4.10.A and 10.5.2.2.A&B when issuing the penalty Wednesday.

Per the rulebook, NASCAR can also issue issue a fine. They decided to fine crew chief Patrick Donahue $25,000 for this violation.
