Kyle Busch to run 5 races for Spire Motorsports
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Spire Motorsports unveiled the five races Kyle Busch will run this season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Busch will kick off his tenure in the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado this Saturday in the FR8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Busch will return to the Truck Series six days later for the March 1 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
His other races are March 16 at Bristol Motor Speedway, April 12 at Texas Motor Speedway and May 10 at Darlington.
Group 1001 will serve as the primary sponsor for Busch for the Atlanta and Las Vegas races.
“Even before I was an owner, I always enjoyed racing in the Truck Series. So I’m thankful to Jeff [Dickerson], T.J. [Puchyr] and everyone at Spire Motorsports for the opportunity to compete,” said Busch. “A lot of the employees from KBM transitioned over to Spire. And I’ll be working with (Brian) Pattie and the same group that I had last year.”
Spire Motorsports bought out Kyle Busch Motorsports last year, as well as its race shop and chassis business Rowdy Manufacturing.
“While it’ll be a little bittersweet not having a KBM decal on the front of the truck and a 51 on the side, I know that I’ll be getting in the best equipment in the series. Once I’m behind the wheel, it’ll look and feel like home and just like always, my only goal will be to add more banners in the shop!”
“Kyle Busch is a generational talent. I’ve been fortunate enough to witness so many of his accomplishments first-hand. It means a lot to everyone at Spire Motorsports to have Kyle in our truck this season. And, it means a great deal to me personally, for us to make this happen,” said Jeff Dickerson, the co-owner of Spire Motorsports.
The FR8 208 goes green just after 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Catch the race on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
