Kyle Larson wins pole for Daytona 500

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion is picking up where he left off.
Kyle Larson will lead the field to the green flag in Sunday’s Daytona 500 after posting a 49.68-second lap time Wednesday during qualifying at Daytona International Speedway. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman will start second.
The pole is Larson’s 10th of his career, tying him for 66th all-time with Joe Nemechek, Cotton Owens and LeeRoy Yarbrough.
The Daytona 500 will be televised live Sunday on FOX.
