Chase Briscoe wins back-to-back Southern 500s

In the end, the field was no match for Chase Briscoe Sunday night at Darlington Raceway.

Leading on nine occasions for 309 laps, Chase Briscoe picked up his second win of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season and the fourth of his career in the Cook Out Southern 500.

Briscoe won the race last year, earning the final victory for Stewart-Haas Racing.

Tyler Reddick and Erik Jones narrowed down the margin in the closing laps, finishing second and third respectively.

John Hunter Nemechek and A.J. Allmendinger rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Stage 2 winner: Chase Briscoe

Lap 230: Chase Briscoe wins the stage, followed by Reddick, Jones, Larson and Allmendinger in the Top-5.

Lap 216: Briscoe leads Reddick as the race is back under green flag conditions.

Lap 209: Ryan Blaney spins off of Turn 4. Caution.

Lap 208: Green flag, Briscoe leads.

Lap 202: Caution for Cody Ware spinning on the backstretch. He was off the lead lap.

Lap leaders tonight (through 200 laps): Chase Briscoe (153), John Hunter Nemechek (15), Denny Hamlin (10), Bubba Wallace, (10), Chase Elliott (8), Kyle Larson (2), Shane Van Gisbergen (1)

Lap 196: Chase Briscoe re-inherits the lead after green flag pit stops, 1.8 seconds ahead of Reddick.

Lap 186: Green flag pit stops have begun.

Lap 166: Briscoe, Chastain, Jones, Reddick, Larson the Top-5. Hamlin had a slow pit stop, mired back to 23rd on the track.

Lap 152: Carson Hocevar spins in Turn 4, caution is out.

Lap 115: Chase Briscoe takes the stage victory. Reddick second, Chastain third, Hamlin fourth, Wallace fifth.

Lap 86: Chase Briscoe gets the lead after the second round of green flag pit stops in Stage 1. Hamlin in second with a 1.6-second deficit.

Lap 56: Briscoe cycles back to the lead.

Lap 54: John Hunter Nemechek leads but needs to still pit. Briscoe is second, Chastain third, Larson fourth, and Wallace fifth.

Lap 46: Brad Keselowski with a black flag for pitting outside the box. Pass through penalty.

Lap 35: Briscoe pits from the lead during green flag pit stops. Bubba Wallace to the lead.

Lap 15: Chase Briscoe has led the opening 14 laps, and has stretched his lead over Hamlin to nearly a second.

Lap 7: Back to green. Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin lead the field.

Lap 1: Green flag, Josh Berry spins after starting third off of Turn 2. Tyler Reddick and Kyle Busch with possible damage.
