Martin Truex Jr. victorious at Dover

Martin Truex Jr. claimed victory in the Gander RV 400 Monday (May 6) at Dover International Speedway.
Leading the final 53 laps, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver took his second victory of the 2019 season.
“We’re starting to not only make our cars a little faster, show up better on Fridays, we’re a step ahead on the weekend,” Truex said. “The pit crew is really doing a great job.”
Alex Bowman, who led 16 laps, finished in second-place for the second week in a row.
Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick and pole sitter Chase Elliott rounded out the top-five finishers.
NOTABLE FINISHERS AND FACTOIDS

Defending series champion Joey Logano finished seventh.
Points leader Kyle Busch finished 10th.
Daniel Hemric was the highest-finishing rookie in 25th.
Eleven drivers finished on the lead lap.
Chase Elliott led the most laps (146).
NEXT RACE
The next points-awarding Cup Series race will be the Digital Ally 400 Saturday night (May 11) at Kansas Speedway.
Kevin Harvick is the defending winner.
