Matt DiBenedetto to run remainder of Xfinity season
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Viking Motorsports announced Thursday that they will run the rest of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season with Matt DiBenedetto.

DiBenedetto posted on social media about the move, stating “FULL TIME BABY.” It marks the first time he has landed a full-time ride since racing with Rackley W.A.R. in 2022 and ’23 before the partnership came to an unceremonious end in late 2023.
“I’m really pumped about our future and thankful for the team and the group. They’re all in. I’m thankful they’ve chosen me to be the one to wheel it. I love all of them. Thank you guys for all the support. I can’t wait to see you guys at the track. Every week,” DiBenedetto said.
“We are very excited to have Matt join us for the remainder of the 2024 season and (hopefully) beyond,” said Don Sackett, the team owner of Viking Motorsports. “His skill behind the wheel and his dedication to the sport make him an ideal fit for our team. We believe this partnership will not only elevate our performance on the track but also provide a platform for growth and success in the seasons to come.”

The organization commended DiBenedetto for his “wealth of experience and enthusiasm.” They’re looking for partnerships as the season goes on.
DiBenedetto and Viking began their season at Richmond Raceway, race six of the season. They have been in every race since then.
So far, they’ve earned finishes of 18th (-1 lap) at Richmond, 21st at Martinsville, 20th at Texas, 8th at Talladega and 32nd at Dover after a mechanical issue.
