MBM Motorsports will attempt nine of the final 10 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races in 2018, according to the team‘s owner Carl Long.

“We should run the rest of the Cup races this year, except for Talladega,” Long said exclusively to the The Racing Experts.

Timmy Hill will be behind-the-wheel of the No. 66 Toyota at all the races the team attempts.

The team has attempted 12 races this season. This weekend’s South Point Casino 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the team’s 13th start of 2018.

Hill, Chad Finchum, and Mark Thompson have all raced for the team this year.

The best finish for the team was Thompson’s at 22nd-place showing in the Daytona 500.

Long said sponsorship opportunities are still available for his Cup Series team for the rest of the year, with primary sponsorship in the Cup Series costing as low as $25,000.

“Add another ‘0’ for the other teams,” Long said.

“I don’t have the big engineers, I don’t have the wind tunnel, that just covers our cost to get to the racetrack and that’s why I’m a viable option.

“Some people may not like going to Walmart, other people do. Well, I’m kind of the ‘Walmart,’ I’m definitely not the “Macy’s.’”

MBM Motorsports has been competing in NASCAR’s premier series since 2017.
