DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR moved the start of the Daytona 500 up one hour due to inclement weather forecast for the area late Sunday.

Pre-race ceremonies for the 67th annual Daytona 500 will now begin at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, instead of 2:30 p.m. The green flag is expected at around 2 p.m., instead of 3 p.m.

Gates and hospitality will open at 9 a.m. ET instead, with the fan zone opening at 8:30 a.m. and parking lots opening at 6 a.m.

“Due to increased security measures, Daytona International Speedway encourages all attendees to arrive early for the event. Please be aware that traffic may be unpredictable, so allow extra time for potential delays. Additionally, expect longer lines at the entry gates because of enhanced screening processes,” NASCAR stated.

Pitbull and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will perform before the race.
