Rain washes away all Friday practice and qualifying at Texas

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Rain and wet weather conditions washed away all NASCAR practice and qualifying Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.

The lineup for both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and the NASCAR Xfinity Series race, scheduled for Friday night and Saturday respectively, will be set by the sanctioning body’s “metric.”

Austin Hill and Justin Allgaier will lead the field to the green flag Saturday. Jeb Burton, who had an emotional second-place finish to Hill at Talladega, will start third.

Other notable top-10 starters include Matt DiBenedetto (eighth) and Anthony Alfredo (10th). Both drivers finished inside the top-10 at Talladega. However, DiBenedetto was hit with a loss of 20 championship points and five playoff points for an infraction involving his rear bumper cover.

Meanwhile, McAnally Hilgemann Racing teammates Tyler Ankrum and Daniel Hemric will lead the field to the green flag Friday night. Ankrum won the most recent Truck race — at Rockingham — while Hemric won late in March at Martinsville.

Here are the starting lineups for the Xfinity and Truck races:
