HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Tyler Reddick claimed the win—and NASCAR Xfinity Series title—Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Reddick led the final 37 laps, passing fellow championship contender Christopher Bell for the lead.

“It’s something I knew was possible all year long,” Reddick said. “Maybe not everyone in the garage believed it, but our guys believed it and that’s all we need.”

The other Championship 4 contenders; Cole Custer, Daniel Hemric and Christopher Bell, finished 2nd, 4th and 11th respectively.

Reddick is the 29th different driver to win a championship in the series. He is the sixth different champion in the last six years.

Reddick is the third rookie to win the title in the series, joining Chase Elliott in 2014 and William Byron in 2017.

Reddick’s win in the Ford EcoBoost 400 was the third of his Xfinity Series career. Reddick joins Brian Vickers and Daniel Suarez as series champions with three career wins.

OF NOTE
Custer led the opening 93 laps, capturing victory in Stages 1 and 2.

John Hunter Nemechek was the highest finishing non-championship contender (3rd).

32 drivers finished the race, seven on the lead lap.

The next Xfinity Series race will be the 2019 season opener at Daytona International Speedway in February.
